From 6 June, 171 new and extended weekly train services will be introduced across the metropolitan train network, and a further 40 existing weekly services will be extended.
In the new June train timetable some services will:
- depart earlier,
- depart later, or
- have different stopping patterns.

Service alterations
- Flinders Street 8.49am to Craigieburn is altered to stop at all stations and will terminate at Broadmeadows at 9.18am
- Craigieburn 4.29pm to Flinders Street is altered to run express from Moonee Ponds to North Melbourne, and will now commence at Broadmeadows
- There will also be altered departure and arrival times at Craigieburn and Roxburgh Park for the new Coolaroo Station

- Frankston 4.47am to Flinders Street altered to depart at 4.57, arriving Flinders Street at 6.05am
- A restructured AM and PM peak to provide additional services and better on-time performance
- Alternate peak services to now run direct to Flinders Street / through the City Loop
- Interpeak pattern changed with Frankston services now stopping all stations from Malvern to South Yarra (and Cranbourne and Pakenham services express)
- Minor alterations to post-pm peak services to provide a one-minute connection at Caulfield to the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines
- Weekend services have been altered to stop all stations between Malvern and South Yarra to provide a ten minute frequency during the day.

- A more evenly spaced PM peak service
- Interpeak pattern changes with Pakenham and Cranbourne services running express from Malvern to South Yarra, Frankston line services will stop at all stations
